Your day begins with a jeep expedition through the Wadi Rum Protected Area with highlights and attractions throughout, including the following:

    • Ancient ruins of a Nabatean Temple.
    • Lawrence’s Spring, named after T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) who spoke so invitingly of it during the Arab Revolt. You can also climb the rock formation, where the spring emerges from the mountain, taking in one of the best views of the vast desert landscape.
    • The Jabel Khazali Canyon, a 15-minute tour of canyon walls adorned with ancient rock inscriptions and paintings by the Nabateans and Thamud people.
    • See the Map Stone, an old map etched into stone walls that provided clues to any passers-by as to the direction of the Camel Caravans.
    • We will then drive to the famous Red Sand Dunes of Wadi Um Ishrin, where you can climb the dunes or even sandboard if you wish.
    • Jebel Anafishiya, where you can admire 2,500 year old Nabatean rock inscriptions.
    • Lawrence’s House, where legend claims that he stayed in during the revolt.
    • Enjoy lunch in cliff-side shade in Barrauh Canyon.
    • After lunch you can embark on a 1-2 km hike through the canyon itself, if you wish.
    • Visit the famous Mushroom Stone, named due to the natural rock formation that has formed over many years.
    • Adventure through the Al Mahama Canyon. A self guided trail where you will be dropped off at one end and collected at the other.
    • Onward to the Jebel Burdah rock bridge, the highest natural bridge in the Wadi Rum and a wonderful photo opportunity!
    • Followed by the Um Fruth Bridge (approximately 20m high), a crowd favorite allowing for a very enjoyable, satisfying climb and another excellent photo opportunity.
    • We will then guide you to a magnificent location where atop sunset mountain, you will sip sweet Bedouin tea and watch the legendary Wadi Rum Sunset

Day 2Hike Jabel Um Adami, continue with a jeep tour to the south region of the Wadi Rum desert.

After breakfast, The Jabel Um Adaami tour will proceed with a jeep expedition through the Wadi Rum desert, 40km southward to Jabel Um Adaami, the highest mountain in Jordan rising up to 1,854m and located right on the Saudi Arabia border. You will visit:

    • A 2.5 hour guided hike to the top of the mountain. There are clear markings that will guide you.. Once you arrive, you will see a breathtaking panoramic view of Saudi Arabia to the south and the Wadi Rum to the north. This trip can also be added to the Wadi Rum Adventure program.
    • Next in the program is a well deserved lunch break .
    • Afterwards will continue with a jeep tour through the valleys of Wadi Rum traversing the tranquil and serene Wadi Saabit. On the way back, we may explore a few of the smaller valleys if time permits.
    • Sunset Tour : Relax atop a giant red sand dune and enjoy the legendary Wadi Rum sunset with some Bedouin tea.
    • Dinner Time : You will then journey back to the camp for a traditional Bedouin-style dinner by the campfire and evening relaxation with sweet Bedouin tea before retiring to your cosy tent cabins.
    • Recommended Walk Under the Stars : After dinner, I highly recommend you take a short walk by yourself or with company under the star filled sky, if there is no moon you will see a lot of shooting stars. It’s very safe to walk around the camp, but if you go far it may be very easy to get lost, as it is very easy to mix-up the directions.

Day 3Departure. Optional camel treks are available.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and see the sunrise. At 8:00 – 8:30am, we will drive you back to Wadi Rum Village. If you need to be back early, we can arrange it.

    Camelback Trekking(optional)

    • Sunset tour : Departing from the campsite at 3:30pm and arriving at the destination at 5:30pm, a wonderful 2 hour trip to then enjoy the sunset at a magnificent viewpoint. Transportation back to the campsite is provided. The cost is 30 JD per person, and each person will have his/her own camel.
    • Sunrise tour : Departs from the campsite as the sun rises, exact time to be determined, by time of year, arriving back at the camp at 8:00am. The cost is 30 JD per person, and each person will have his/her own camel.
    • Camelback trek from the campsite to Wadi Rum Village : Departing from the campsite at 8:00am and arriving in the Wadi Rum Village around 10:00am (2 hours total). The cost is 30 JD per person, and each person will have his/her own camel.

    • Great experience in the desert
Sited deep in the desert, but with warm showers and good food. Welcoming and professional, Achmed was a great host. Abdul was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Take time out, take a tour, ride a camel, hike the desert…Highly recommended

    • Just perfect
Very nice hosts, Ahmed and his brothers are just so kind, funny and very interesting. They told us many stories and spent the evening around the fireplace chatting 🙂 The too day tour was magical but we would have stayed for more days if we had the time. Wadi rum is marvelous unique place and the experience with rumstars was so lovely.

    • Splendid isolation!
Spent 2 nights at the camp and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tents are simple but comfy and the food was good and plentiful. A friend and I did a one day jeep excursion with Abdul, who was a terrific guide. It was a long day – 10 hours! – but we saw lots of sights in Wadi Rum, and Abdul was really informative about Bedouin culture and traditions. He also cooked us a great lunch. It was a great experience staying in a Bedouin camp in the middle of this incredible desert – loved the silence at night and the isolation. Would thoroughly recommend.
